Working Waterfront

Support for the working waterfront is an integral part of BHWP's mission. Shortly after closing on the property, we began to offer convenient winter-trap storage for fishermen. We intend to continue the program in coming years.

Our Working Waterfront Committee has also designed a new float footprint (see below) for which we will be seeking Wharves and Weirs approval. The new plan allows for 320 linear feet of usable working waterfront dock space (in addition to 330 feet of public dock space).

The Committee is endeavoring to provide a convenient place for working boats to access electricity and equipment for boat repairs and maintenance as well as a place to beach out for hull work. The BHWP Board extends a special thank you to our  three working waterfront Board members, Norm Pierce and lobstermen Dave Bean and Devyn Campbell, for their working waterfront expertise and guidance.
