Honoring Alice Thompson

As a tribute to former Board member Alice Thompson, Boothbay Harbor Waterfront Preservation will be naming the  historic main house of the park property 'The Alice Hodgdon Thompson House'.

Alice was passionate about the community project and is dearly missed. The building and land held special meaning for Alice as the words of her family attest (from The Boothbay Register):

“Close to her heart, her latest endeavor was serving on the board of the Boothbay Harbor Waterfront Preservation. The location is that of her childhood home and the boatyard of her father, Norman H. Hodgdon Jr. She was so pleased that a place that possessed so many fond memories would become a wonderful place for the entire community to enjoy.”
